FAQ

Q?

Can you assist with working out the specifications of our pallets to ensure they are suitable for the end use?

A.

We operate a PDS (Pallet Design System) which calculates load bearing and strength of a pallet.  Drawings are available to all PDS pallets.

Q?

Is there a set size of pallet that I have to order or can Big Tuff Timber Products build to my requirements?

A.

We can produce pallets and bins to any size or specification that you need.

Q?

Can Big Tuff Timber Products hold stock of our pallets and crates to help reduce lead times?

A.

Yes, we are happy to hold stock for all customers ordering on a regular basis.

Q?

What is ISPM15 and how does it affect my packaging?

A.

ISPM15 stands for International Standards for Phytosanitary measures.

In simple terms all pallets, crates and timber packaging that is used in export of product from New Zealand must comply with the wood packaging requirements of the ISPM15 programme.

Big Tuff Timber Products is accredited with the ISPM15 wood packaging programme and carries out both fumigation and heat treatment on site.

Failure to comply with these export requirements may mean your export shipment is rejected at its point of destination.

Q?

Is there such a thing as a minimum order?

A.

No, we do not set minimum order quantity.

Q?

What details do I need to supply when asking for a price on pallets, bins, crates etc?

A.

In order for us to accurately price your pallet or packaging requirements we would prefer to visit your site and measure the pallet ourselves. If this is not suitable and you would like us to supply a price over the phone or by email, our sales team will work with you to obtain all relevant information that we require.
